Wow. Just wow. Thanks for such a great post. The photographs are amazing too. I would love to have a master chef like Tanigawa teach me how to form rice balls — with or without the threat of the encouragement stick. What an opportunity.

I love my life, but I have to say if I died tomorrow and came back as someone else, I’d want to be you! Hanging with Robuchon one week, and Tanigawa the next….way cool. One of my sons and I will be dining at Robuchon in NY next weekend, I’m sure to be thinking of you, Bren and Marc as we snarf down our langoustines. Safe travels!

I agree with everyone else, the pictures are beautiful. They’d fit happily in the pages of Saveur (or Bon Appetit!). Look forward to seeing what you’ll do with the dried fish and shrimp he gave you.
